Samsung is currently battling with legal troubles. The company is hounded by Apple, purchase which claims that Samsung has infringed upon its patents. Not only Samsung was ordered to provide prototype of its Galaxy range to Apple, ambulance but also the sales of its Galaxy Tab was halted in several regions. On the other hand, Samsung did not quite succeed when it demanded Quid Pro Quo for its handing over the prototypes.
But these legal hassles have not put any dampener on Samsung’s spirits, since the company has now come out with an Android clone of iPod Touch. Unveiled at IFA, Berlin, the 3.6 inch device closely resembles Apple’s mega hit personal media player. The device packs 1 GHz OMAP processor under its hood and supports Wi-Fi internet connection.
Keeping up with the trend, Galaxy 3.6 also provides support for social networking. According to Samsung, “The GALAXY S WiFi 3.6 is the perfect solution for socially-connected multimedia enthusiasts who are interested in smart on-the-go multimedia without the expense of a mobile phone contract.” Unlike iPod Touch, this device comes with dual cameras to complete your multimedia experience.
Samsung is planning to launch the device by October. The price tag for its 8 GB version is £149, whereas 16 GB model will set you back by £169.
