PlayStation Network Undergoes Phased Restoration Program

After an embarrassing breach, medicine Sony PSN is finally getting back on its feet. The company has started restoring the network in a phased manner in the UK. It is also working on Qriocity. However, vcialis 40mg do not expect the full fledged network to be in place. Sony will be working on country by country restoration and will make only a few services available in the first phase. The restoration work began in the Americas and is gradually working towards Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.

As far as the first phase is concerned, you would be able to sign into your PlayStation and Qriocity network. You would be prompted to change your passwords. Online game play will also be restored across PSP and PS3. If you have any rental video content which is still in the rental period, then you would be able to playback it on PSP, PS3 and MediaGo and finally you can also make use of Music Unlimited service on your PS3 and PC. Sony will also be restoring the access to third party services such as MLB.tv, Vudu, Netflix and Hulu.

Though, it may look like that all the essential services are going to be back on track, but you still won’t be able to access PlayStation Store and therefore cannot buy games, that is if you are still interested in buying them. Sony is currently working on the fortifying the security system for its store and it won’t be back on until the company is ensured of its invincibility. We are going to keep our fingers crossed for this.

You will need to download 3.61 update for your PS3, which will then prompt you to change your password. Sony has also made some other changes to ensure that the catastrophic breach does not happen again. The company is gearing towards restoring the full functionality by the end of this month. Though, the details are not out yet, but the company is expected to suffer a major loss on account of the security breach. There are reports that its users are already migrating to other gaming consoles. If these reports are true, then Sony needs to complete the restoration phase as early as possible, without compromising the security.
