Hackers make Kinect porn game and Xbox users blame Kinect for ‘red ring of death’

Back in December a demo of a Kinect porn game by Adult game maker ThriXXX was unveiled featuring a pixelated pervert sexual abusing a cyber woman with his filthy cyber hand (as you can see to your right) and that’s relatively mild compared to other stuff ThriXXX wanted to bring to the motion gaming world (just use your imagination.)

Microsoft obviously weren’t happy with ThriXXX’s demo and other Kinect porn games and responded to them in a statement that reads:

“This isn’t the first example of a technology being used in ways not intended by its manufacturer, and it won’t be the last. Microsoft did not authorize or license its technology for this use. Xbox is a family friendly games and entertainment console and does not allow Adults Only content to be certified for use on its platform, and would not condone this type of game for Kinect.”

This lead bloggers to hypothesise that we probably won’t see official sex games released on the Xbox 360, but instead Adult games will appear as a PC game with Kinect compatibility.

Well that’s exactly what has happened. It’s your lucky day bored Kinect and Windows 7 owners.

“The Kinect interface provides another exciting interface option for users of the sex simulation software to control the experience in extraordinary new ways!” says ThriXXX.

And in other news, the red ring of death (no this isn’t another porn game, this is the dreaded Xbox error) is back and apparently it’s all Kinect’s fault.

Attributed to many varying issues throughout the years including over-heating problems, the red ring of death, which is estimated to have affected close to 30 per cent of all Xbox 360 consoles since launch, appears to have returned with a number of new Kinect owners claiming the console-crippling issues appeared after just a few short uses of the peripheral.

Microsoft of course say: “There is no correlation between the three flashing red lights error and Kinect. Any new instances of the three flashing red lights error are merely coincidental.”

So there you go, the latest Kinect news.

Anything to add?
