Thanks to the success of Apple’s iPad, the amount of demand for tablet devices has been showing, but with Apple getting such a huge head start with tablet devices, there has been little choice for anyone after such a device. Companies have been catching up slowly but surely, and it seems Acer are ready to join the fray in the great tablet war.
Acer CEO Gianfranco Lanci spoke with Dow Jones Newswire, revealing that starting on November 23rd, Acer will be launching a line of various tablets which will range from a modest $299, to a more high end $699. Unfortunately this seemed to be all the information on the tablet computers Lanci was willing to give out at this time and we are sure to get more information in the coming weeks.
There are rumours circulating that the OS Acer have decided to don on their tablet range has been Google’s Android, although Windows 7 is also a possibility on the more expensive tablets in the line.
What Acer have to offer us is still to be speculated, but hopefully considering the price ranges, there may be little room to disappoint among various spenders. If you’ve been on the wall while deciding what tablet device you may be after, it may be worth holding out a little longer to see what Acer have to offer.
