LG to Reveal 31-inch 3D OLED TV at IFA 2010

With just three days to go until the IFA consumer electronics convention in Berlin, it seems leaks are still eager to get out there about forthcoming products to be announced at the event.

A huge 31-inch OLED TV from LG which will be 3D ready has been revealed and it’s looking to be a very impressive television indeed. The screen is a miniscule 2.9mm thick, making it the thinnest OLED TV out there. The picture is also expected to be very smooth, whether it is viewed in 3D or 2D thanks to its 600HZ panel.

Back in April, LG’s marketing manager, George Mead said: “What we hope to see, though, is LG moving into larger OLED TVs in the near future, and, hopefully, in time, we’ll see the price points come down as they reach a wider audience,”

“It’s not going to stop at 15ins. We will look at how we can develop larger screen sizes. There’s nothing confirmed yet, but I think in the near future we will see larger TVs available”.

So it seems that ‘near future’ is now a reality, and expect the official unveiling at the IFA consumer conventions in a few days. No price has been revealed as of yet, but with LG’s 15-inch OLED TV being priced at £1500, expect something pretty colossal when it’s revealed. For now, just admire the beauty in the below image before its price blows you away.
